Hi, my name is Gerry, currently living in Germany where I’ve graduated in economic science. Ever since I met Priscilla, I have been fascinated by the idea behind Kofaya. It not only addresses the environmental problems of fast fashion, it also empowers regular people like you and me, showing us that we can make a difference.
My dream: to help Kofaya grow, so that its tailors in Ghana can pursue a sustainable profession that not only pays above-average wages, but also raises awareness of fast fashion and various other issues. But for Kofaya to grow, a number of factors need to be taken into account. My first tasks here included accounting, marketing and logistics, for instance – dealing with export and shipping regulations. Topics like these can be quite tedious, but I’m sure it’s worth it, because Kofaya has the potential to change the lives of many Ghanaian people for the better. A lot of work still needs to be done and I am proud to be part of this project.
